About
Aleksander Najda is a poet and art historian. He earned his doctoral degree by writing a breakthrough dissertation, "Apocalypse according to Wasyl Kandinsky." While at UIC, he was awarded a Fulbright fellowship to research and catalog thousands of previously unknown documents relating to the early life of Kandinsky in Odessa, Ukraine. His poetry is almost exclusively focused on ekphrasis, providing a unique insight into the inner world of visual arts and music. Aleksander has published a collection of poems titled The Ground of Things. A multimedia show under same name is currently taking place in one of the best exhibition spaces in Poland.
