PhD Students, Anneliese Hardman and Humaira Hossain, have published catalogue essays in the South Asia Institute's most recent exhibition, The Written Image: A Confluence of Music and Calligraphy. Anneliese's essay is titled: "Calligraphy as Communication: Erosion of Language and Land in South and Southeast Asia" and Humaira's is titled, "Scripted Memories: Calligraphy as a Visual Language in Modern Asian Art." Fellow PhD Student, Sydney Barofsky, curated the show which ran from November 16, 2024-March 15, 2025. Catalogs can be purchased on the South Asia Institute's website.
