Graduating Art History major Jacqueline Valdez is this year's recipient of the John D. McNee Art History Scholarship for academic excellence. The honor comes with a $1000 award. Jacqueline has taken thirteen art history courses at UIC, completed a thesis titled "Immigrant Reflections on Buen Gusto: The American Dream in Yvette Mayorga's High Maintenance Series," and finishes her degree with a 4.0 GPA.
