Emmanuel Ortega selected as Institute for the Humanities Faculty Fellow, 2024-25
Emmanuel Ortega, Marilynn Thoma Scholar and Assistant Professor in the Art of the Spanish Americas, has been selected as a 2024–25 Faculty Fellow at UIC's Institute for the Humanities. Emmanuel will be working on his book manuscript, The Domesticating Mission: Franciscan Anxiety as the Distortion of Native Resistance. Congratulations, Emmanuel!
