Art History PhD candidate, Cassy Smith, has been selected receive a $1000 honorarium from SmartHistory and the Samuel Kress foundation in exchange for a Native American art history essay of her choice. This initiative will support 25 emerging scholars who have suffered financial hardship due to the pandemic. Watch the UIC Art History website for a link to Cassy's essay when it is published.
