Panel discussion, “What is Art Criticism?,” focussed on the different ways literary critics and art historians understand, appreciate and think critically about art. Short presentations by Walter Benn Michaels, Anna Kornbluh, Blake Stimson and special guest Michael Fried, Professor Emeritus of Art History/Humanities, Johns Hopkins University.
