About
Madison Whitaker is a first-year PhD student whose work utilizes QueerCrip theory to examine practices of care. Their current research is interested in modes of care as means of building kinship and community. Prior to UIC, Madison attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, earning a B.A. in Art History in 2019 and an M.A. in Art History in 2021.
