Debra DeWitte created this activity for her Art Appreciation class on depictions of pandemics throughout history.
In the activity, students are asked to read a short passage on Matthias Grunewald’s Isenheim Altarpiece (1512-1516), and then choose another piece on a disease or pandemic to analyze. Then, they are asked to answer a few short questions.
