Art History MA alumna Drita Kabashi starts a new position teaching Art History at Rochester Institute of Technology, Kosovo (A.U.K)

UIC Art History Alumna Drita Kabashi

Congratulations Drita!

Art History MA alumna Drita Kabashi starts a new position teaching Art History at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Kosovo (A.U.K), which is Kosovo’s only private, not for-profit university. It is the only Kosovo university teaching entirely in the English language, which helps us attract students from every community in Kosovo.

An interdisciplinary educator and researcher, she holds an MA in Art History from the University of Illinois Chicago and a BFA in Drama from New York University. Her work bridges acting, art history, and writing to explore genealogy, diaspora, and memory through both scholarship and creative expression.
Drita has led projects such as the digitization of the permanent archaeological collection at the National Museum of Kosova, and she is currently author of The Gallery View, a research anthology soon to be published by the National Gallery of Kosova. Her research has been featured in academic journal Kosova Anthropologica and presented across the Balkans, while her creative work includes acting, music, and a forthcoming book of poetry, Landscapes of Fragmentation.
At RIT Kosovo, she will be teaching Themes in the History of Art, inspiring students to approach art and history through both critical and creative lenses.
Congratulations Drita!
